The House

Originally built in 1860, much added to over the years, I fell in love with this dilapidated old lady at first sight and together with a fantastic team of devoted and knowledgeable craftsmen, spent the last one and a half years restoring it to its former beauty. We have managed to retain many old feature walls, and some of the old windows whilst isolating the structure in line with the most up-to-date guidelines and choosing one of the most ecologically-friendly heating systems. Despite the modern features, it retains all the charms of an old wooden building in which the feel and acoustics are quite far removed from modern concrete and glass buildings.

The guest accommodation is reached by an outside staircase leading to two entirely separated wings, where you will find the Blue and Gold rooms, each with its own entry hall as well as elegant en suite bathrooms all exquisitely furnished to a very high standard.

Guests have the use of a fully-equipped ski room in the basement, including ski-boot warmers and facilities for drying winter clothing. During this summer the “carnozet” was finished and is ready to welcome guests for an entertaining Fondue/Raclette evening. It is also possible to do some wine tasting, from the Vaudois Region primarily. Barbecues can be organized in the garden.
